About Author: Katherine Yundt comes from a family of writers, including her Great Aunt Beth who also wrote children’s books. Katherine was born in Los Angeles, California where she grew up loving literature and storytelling. She received a BA in English literature with a minor in Spanish literature from University of California, Berkeley. She spent a year studying Spanish Literature at La Universidad de Alcala de Henares, Spain, the town where people believe that Miguel de Cervantes, author of Don Quixote, was born. After college, Katherine worked in Pasadena, California, as the Family Literacy Coordinator at a nonprofit organization for preschool age children and their mothers. Her responsibilities included encouraging parents to read with their children, curating the children’s library, and coordinating the adult education program. Today, when she is not writing or spending time with her family, she volunteers on the board of nonprofit organizations in her community that focus on enriching the lives of children and young people.
