About Product: What kind of life preparation does the Lord give the men He will one day call to be prophet? And what are the lessons to be learned from such a life? From being raised in a home without the foundation of the gospel to the early days of his marriage and the stress of medical school to his last open-heart surgery in China, President Russel M. Nelson took advantage of every opportunity to learn and become more. In Insights from a Prophet's Life,Sheri Dew takes us through the life of President Nelson from childhood to the current day. This unique collection of life experiences is told in short episodes with the purpose of helping readers gain their own personal insights, for if we have much to learn from what a prophet says, surely we have much to learn from how a prophet lives.

Insights into President Nelson's life has further solidified my testimony that he is a prophet of God! It has helped me to know that by simple things we do to turn to God, He can inspire us in ways that can bring the power of God into our lives. Sheri Dew makes it very enjoyable to dive into this book, and make it feel like you where right there with President Nelson, learning life with him.
This book was so inspirational. I could hardly put it down. I love the way Sheri Dew writes. I have loved Pres. Nelson ever since he was first in the Quorum of the Twelve. There were so few of the General Authorities who ever smiled in General Conference and he did. After all it is the GOOD NEWS of the Gospel they are talking about. He has such a sweet, kind, loving way about him. He is so intelligent and I am so happy he is our prophet today.
This was a great book! It was interesting to see how his thoughts were influenced at a very young age to search for truth and knowledge. I enjoyed watching him make decisions and learn. I felt his genuine love for people and keenly felt his sorrow as he was unable to save some of his patients. It showed in retrospect how his life has been effected, indeed how he was groomed by God to be a prophet and great example for us. May we all look back at or own lives and see how Gods hand has influenced our lives and been a blessing to us. Thank you sister Dew for the wonderful stories and insights into his life
