About the New Site
Creating an online store is not a challenge for the faint of heart! LDSBooksCanada.com has always been provided by a third party who created websites for independent LDS stores like us. Recent changes in the industry have nudged us towards doing it ourselves, and we're excited about the benefits it offers you, our beloved customers! Here are a few:
- All prices are in Canadian Dollars (at a very favorable exchange rate!) We do our best to keep this as close as possible
- Faster, smoother page loading and search results
- Social integration with your favorite sites, like Pinterest, Facebook and Twitter
- We now have full control of what appears on the site. A chronic problem of a third-party website was that obscure items were constantly being added without us knowing, so quite often you, the shoppers would find them before we would! It was no small source of confusion, and always ended up delaying the order. Now, what you see is what we've got! If it's on the site, it's ready to ship!
- You do not need to create a new customer account- you should be able to log in using the email and password you have been using (some customers may need to recover their password)
- Better account management, order notifications & tracking numbers. That's right, you'll get an email with your tracking number as soon as the order ships!
- Live Canada Post rates (we'll be doing plenty of shipping promos to take the sting out of that shipping cost, so watch your email inbox!)
- Industry-leading security: Our site is powered by BigCommerce and Paypal, so your payment information stays secure.
- New items are being continually added, so if you don't see what you're after, give us a call or email and chances are we have it in-store.
